Over the past years, the global hospitality industry has undergone considerable changes. New trends mark both in the segment of traditional hotels, and new segments, such as, for example, hostels, apart-hotels. In October 2017, the first hotel investment conference took place in Prague in which the leaders of such global hotel brands as Hilton, Marriott, Accorr, Louvre took part. The conference covered the topics of the current situation of the hotel segment in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Spain and Poland. Representatives of the world's leading hotel chains spoke about the prospects for the development of their brands, touched on the profitability of hotels and hotel occupancy.

"It is noteworthy that this event was held in Prague, where the demand for hotel real estate is much higher than the offer! '' - said the head of the development for Central Europe of Hilton Hotels Magdalena Sekutowska.

The conference was organized by czech company Suwerte Continental, in close cooperation with Orea Hotels & Resorts. The head of Orea Hotels & Resorts Goryan Lazarov presented the mountain hotels of Orea group: RESORT SKLÁŘ HARRACHOV, RESORT HORIZONT ŠUMAVA and HOTEL ŠPIČÁK ŠUMAVA. The conference itself was held in the Prague Hotel Pyramida, which was recently renovated. Most of the guest rooms and the hotel restaurant were renovated. Goryan Lazarov reports.

Representatives of such hotel chains as Louvre Hotels Group, AccorHotels ™, Marriott Hotels and Resorts spoke about the interest in the development on the territory of the Czech Republic. The opportunities for hotel management were presented by the Spanish company Global Asset Solution.

The topics of the presentations were investment opportunities in the hotel sector, valuation of real estate, income management.

Also, all delegates of the conference could get acquainted with the exposition of the largest companies in the sphere of technical and architectural development of hotel real estate, and personally ask all questions to leading experts. Unusual door lock technology with the possibility of remote control using a mobile phone from the Czech-German company Dormakaba, clearly attracted the attention of conference attendees. The diamond of the event, in the literal sense of the word, was the presentation and the information spot of Czech located company Bohemia Crystal Glass, which presented the original solutions of the exclusive hotel interior.
